An island in the Mediterranean Sea. An ancient fishing village. A tower by the sea. A unique place where space and time have remained unchanged over the years.

Moon’s Tower Suite & Rooms is a Guest House a few steps from the sea, tucked away in the historical centre of Portoscuso, a small fishing village, which lies in the Mediterranean Sea, more precisely in the South West Coast of Sardinia. The family house was built by my great-grandfather around 1850.
During that time, the name of the street was “Sa Ruga ‘e Cincu” (The Street of Five), one of the very first streets of the town in that area (historical centre in our days) where the Tonnara and the Spanish Tower also stand.
My grandparents decided to live there and at the beginning of 1900, opened a grocery shop well known in town and still recalled in old tales.
“My initial wish was to create something different and unique to welcome guests into my old family house in a new special context.”
Owner of Moon’s Tower
My father and his siblings were born and raised in this house and subsequently it became a family grocery shop until 1970. When my grandmother, known and still remembered as “Tzia Annetta ‘e Tunnello”, passed away, the house remained closed and unused for many years.
However, around 2010 my parents started to renovate doors, windows and roof, but the house was not even close to becoming livable.
My initial idea started in 2017, after my mother passed away. After three and a half years,
the idea became a real project and we started to work on it. This is my way of honouring what I have received from my family and keep alive the memory of an historical place of the town.
